It’s a little strange that I never really know what is invigorating me creatively until I clean off my little wall and put up some new inspirations. I hope to have a bigger space soon but for now I just use a 3 x 3 foot space on the wall (literally the only small location not being used on my studio room walls) to tape up a bit of this and that. It’s better than nothing!

Today it was …

… a scrap of silk fabric from Come Darkness …

… some drawings, a postcard with art by Jacob Cartwright, a small piece by Karen Gelardi, a tearsheet from Town & Country

… a lush tearsheet from Bloom, a page from a new Tiffany’s book, a little drawing from Flora Douville

… a gorgeous photograph by Albert Giordan.

When I stepped back and looked at my new wall I was a little surprised. I think I might be in a ‘girly’ mood. Who knew?!!? The best thing about new inspirations is that there is no judgment, no big moves, big ideas or changes. It’s just inspiration. It may mean nothing at all in the grand scheme of things. It’s sort of like streamlining what I have on my mind. A way of saying, ‘hey, whatever is coming next, whatever dream or notion, I’m ready for you. Bring it on.’
